With the increased awareness and emphasis on safety requirements internationally, it has been recognised that wind direction indicators have a valuable part to play in many other fields of industry, transport and manufacturing. Non aviation applications include, power stations, water treatment works and sites covered by the Control of major accidents Hazards Regulations 1999 (COMAH) where a highly visible wind direction indicator is required. Many of our products are now to be found installed on Refineries, Harbours, Bridges, on roads to indicate crosswinds,building sites, landfill sites,re-cycling plants and composting facilities.
All our products are manufactured to the highest standards, the basic policy being quality and durability. This allows us to guarantee our products in service for one year from the date of sale assuming the windsocks are flown from a suitable mast/ swivel arm installation. Our windsocks are constructed from a high quality polyurethane coated nylon. This cloth has been developed over twenty years to our own specification to minimise fade rate and is impregnated with an Ultra Violet ray inhibitor. The standard colour is B.S. standard International Orange. Other colours can be supplied as can international styles such as Red and White hoops, Orange and White hoops, Black and Orange, Black and White please call for a quotation.
Our standard windsock product utilises an integral heavy duty hoop which is sewn into the mouth of the sock. High quality stainless steel wires and a stainless steel swivel snap clip to attach to your mast. For severe weather conditions or marine applications a marine quality stainless steel harness upgrade kit is available. Lace on windsocks can also be supplied with eyelets and nylon rope to attach to existing drum or hoop swivel installations. The sizes available range from small indicators up to and including International Airport size indicators most of our products are available ex.stock. Some of our customers have found that once a windsock has been personalised it is less likely to be stolen ! Bespoke indicators, with or without lettering can be manufactured to customers own requirements whilst advice can be given on recommended size, positioning, etc. Site surveys can be conducted if required to discuss all possible alternatives.
